The SPHERE Group presents the results of its 2025 carbon footprint assessment, the first edition of which was carried out in 2022: a 9.5 per cent reduction in GHG emissions between 2022 and 2025, and a 3.4 per cent reduction between 2024 and 2025.
The majority of emissions (58 per cent) are linked to the Group’s procurement, particularly plastics and aluminium.
The second largest source of emissions (33 per cent) is linked to the end-of-life treatment of products. Most disposal methods are low-emission, except for the incineration of plastics, which is the most common end-of-life treatment for our products in Europe.
Transport accounts for 5.3 per cent of emissions. The majority of materials are sourced, processed and used in Western Europe. Electricity now accounts for just 1.3 per cent of emissions and 58.4 per cent of it comes from renewable sources.
