Groupe SPHERE is proud to announce that its GHG reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).

This validation confirms that the group’s trajectory is aligned with the latest scientific evidence for limiting global warming. Specifically, SPHERE Group is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 58.8 per cent (Scope 1 & 2) and 35 per cent (Scope 3) by 2034 compared with the 2024 baseline year.

“This is a major commitment that brings to fruition 20 years of investment in sustainable development and the reduction of our GHG emissions through the development of compostable bio-based and recycled plastics, as well as the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. It is a significant commercial asset for our customers, who are seeking validated studies and indicators. We play a key role in their own Scope 3 performance.” Arnaud Leroy, Director of Sustainability, Communications and Institutional Relations for the Group.

“This is a pivotal project, which has involved all our business units and drawn on the contributions of many colleagues, whose efforts and commitment I would like to acknowledge.” Vincent Legros, Chief Executive Officer
